Appraisal Division
Appraisal Resource Company was
founded in 1994 by Richard Berlinsky. In the beginning Appraisal Resource was a
modest fee appraisal firm primarily servicing the residential appraisal needs of
the Rhode Island mortgage lending industry. It has subsequently grown to include
both mass appraisal and fee appraisal divisions. The company has grown and the fee
division now serves a diverse client base offering a variety of services including
consulting, appraisals for Commercial Appraisal litigation, eminent domain and P.M.I. removal. While
these sources of work constitute a portion of our client base, mortgage appraisals
continue to comprise the majority of the workload.
Appraisal Resource is headquartered in East Greenwich, R.I. and enjoys a centralized
location close to Routes 1, 4 and 95 enabling coverage of all 39 cities and towns
in the state. From New Shoreham to Woonsocket, Appraisal Resource has been in every
neighborhood and has compiled an extensive database that encompasses every area
of the state.
At Appraisal Resource each appraiser has assigned territories ensuring a high level
of expertise and intimate knowledge of neighborhoods in all geographic areas of
the state. Appraisal Resource has an internal review department to ensure quality
control and has a highly qualified support staff. Office manager Lola Smith brings
20 years of experience in the appraisal field that ensures expedient processing
and delivery of reports to our clients.
Appraisal Resource is a state-of-the-art company that makes for prompt and efficient delivery of reports. The company generates
between 2000-5000 residential appraisals of varying types per year, a majority of
which are delivered electronically to our clients.
Inspections are scheduled and
reports prepared promptly by our staff. All reports are completed to industry and
regulatory guidelines. Accuracy is primary to the process. It is the policy of Appraisal
Resource that no report is released without verification and substantiation of the
data.
The Mortgage division of Appraisal Resource provides a wealth of real estate
valuation experience. As we grow our mission is to continue to provide the most
professional residential appraisal services available and continue to be a leader
